Hey, at least someone notifies ebay and gets the listing removed. That is a step in the right direction to help prevent anyone from getting scammed. If you see more of theses bogus ads, post them and we can all see how long they last before they are reported as, SCAM.

Keep in mind and we have talked about this before, anyone even considering a deal like this is setting themselves up for dissapointment and trouble. Dont think you will ever in this lifetime buy a 2005 Baja 29 Outlaw for $2,900 or even $29K for that matter. And if you do think its too good to be true, IT IS, not probably, IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. Just a word of warning, my brothers.

I also agree that this was a scam, but I have also seen something worded like that, you pay say 2,000 and take over payments.the ad just does'nt say that you take over payments.

Makes Sense, could be why he said to contact him first.

Don't forget that ebay charges the seller a percentage of the final sale amount. Selling the boat for 3k and passing 70k under the table can save a lot of dough at 3%.

I thought eBay Motors (and that includes Boats) was a flat $40 to list and $50 if it sold.

I am actually shocked you guys are trying to justify this ad. You have zero protection and who knows what the real story is when you spend the time researching this boat. There are many other great boats out there that are legit form private sellers and even dealers. I just wouldnt want to hear when I waste my time calling...Send me a check or the title is not available right now, and any other story that would raise a red flag. Bottom line, not worth the potential hassle as red flag #1 has been raised by the ad on ebay, and red flag #2...it has been pulled from the site.
