So im going to pick up my boat this upcoming weekend. I already rented a trailer for the day but my only question is how do i transfer the boat from the blocks to the trailer. Thanks for all your help.

Matt,
The only way I have seen that done is with a forklift, but you could rent 4 tripod screw jacks (with a 2x4 mounted to the top) from a tool rental place, but you will have to lower the boat to the trailer every time to do a relift to get past the trailer crossmembers. This will take quite a bit of time, you must go slow doing this.

I guess it depends on where your boat is.....boat yard....private partys house.
If its at a boat yard see if they either have a fork lift or a travel lift they can put your boat on the trailer with. If not, then you will have to go at it with the screw type lifts and large wood blocks under the boat. Its a long and tedious processs to get it back on the trailer with all the crossmembers. If your not committed to using the trailer you have rented you might just want to look into a boat hauler. They use a trailer that goes right around the stands and then use hyd. lifts pads to lift the boat off the stands. Much easier and probabally more safer that way. Last thing you want to do is drop your boat trying to get it on the trailer.
Good luck

The boat is located in the front of someones house. There are a lot of boat yards around though if we need a hand. Anyway here is a pic of the boat on blocks. http://members.cox.net/mattt1685/boat4

I have to put my boat on and off blocks manually. Using the screw jacks, as the others have said, is a tedious process. The big thing to watch for is that, you gotta get enough clearance to raise the boat above touching anything as you slowly move the trailer under it. If you make contact and push the boat back, well, I don't even want to put that image in your mind. I lift mine, move the trailer back, set the boat down on the roller, reposition the jack in front of the crossbar, jack the boat back up, and repeat the process until most of the weight is on the rollers and I only have a couple of feet to the stop. I hook up the winch, lower the rear jacks, and winch it in the rest of the way. Tedious but, if you have no other choice (like me), just take your time and have a good, clear line of sight to your ground guide. - Sob

I'll admit, Ive always been amazed when I see some of these huge cruiser boats sitting on blocks and jacks. Im shocked that there arent alot of dropped or knocked over boats. There is one sitting at the lake right now that I swear if a bird s**t on it, it would probably fall over!
