My 25 Outlaw has about 144 hours. I bought it new back in late '99. It's always been used in freshwater lakes, never salt water.

I have had problems with my depth sounder. It's always been the transducer though, which comes loose from the inside of the hull keel and must be reglued with epoxy every couple years. Constant moisture eventually loosens the bond.
My drive trim indicator started acting erratically 2 seasons ago due to water getting into the sensor electronics and causing corrosion. Replaced under warranty.

My tabs are the Boat Leveler Insta-trim brand, dual ram tabs. My indicators have always worked fine but I am having problems with leaky hoses. I hate having oil in the bilge and oil slicks at the transom of the boat! Just the other day I noticed an oil slick at the back of the boat again. Probably another outer hose leaking. Boat Leveler has great customer support. Give them a call or email and tell them what your problem is.

As for the outdrive using lube, do you actually see lube leaking anywhere? Or is your reservoir requiring a top off every so often? If there is no visible sign of leaks, then it's probably trapped air in the drive. Whoever last changed the outdrive lube didn't do it right. It must be filled from the bottom; there is a drain plug behind the prop. Merc sells an inexpensive plastic pump that works great for filling the drive. There is a small stainless steel fill plug on the right side of the drive about half way up. Remove that, pump in lube until it starts to dribble out, install plug, remove cap on reservoir in engine compartment, and then continue filling the drive until the reservoir is starting to fill. Then top off the res from inside the boat. It may still go down for the next couple hours but not much.
As for the screws, mine are still looking like new and have not lost any paint. No problems with my hatch hardware or door locks/hardware.

BAJA INSTALLED

To summarize if Baja makes a quality boat, HELL YEAH. You have 7 things wrong and only one of these things are actaully made or installed by Baja. Everything else is another brand or vendor, which these products are pretty damn good, not cheap stuff from the SKI LIMITED or OVERTONS aftermarket catalog. You cant give Baja a bad rap on this one, especially since the dealer is taking care of all your issues. Baja is standing behind theirs and other vendor products. Very simple CHIT HAPPENS, some of us, (like myself) have Baja's that have never seen a problem. No different than buying a car, nothing is always perfect and anything mechanical can breakdown in the first few weeks.

You will have "small problems", but if the dealer is taking care of you, just try to keep a smile on your face and say thank you. Then when the big one hits, you may have them on your side when talking to Baja.

I was the same way, every time I found some thing I was pissed, but the dealer has fixed every thing.

We played a little game of "Name That Bolt" this weekend too.
I took some photos because I can't figure out where they go, maybe we should start a new section in the photo department Blake.?:D

Zskipro,
Sorry to hear about the "lotta little things" going wrong. I have to go with Blake on this one. I have friends that own other brands and all have the same problems. I hope I don't jinks myself, but I bought a new 02 H2X 14 months ago. Not one , like in zero problems so far. I have 103 hrs and do USE the boat about three times a week. No trim tab problems, depth finder problems, no screw problems. The boat has been perfect and I pray it continues to be just that way. Baja makes one heck of a boat. Believe that !!!! The outdrive was not filled correctly like it was said earlier. It must be done from the bottom up....
Just hang in there and work with your dealer so all will be to your liking when the end of these little issue is reached...:smokin
