As I've been trying to sell the 252 and the market is a little soft this time of year i've considered trades for other things I need,As i live on the lake I have the 302 for my needs ,I have the 30 pontoon for late night cruising,
now I need a tournament ski boat for the teenagers, and need a truck to tow the 302.
The trades I'm thinking about are these;
I need an older tournament ski boat in the late 80's or early 90's,(11,000 max)They need to add cash to balance the cost of the 252
I also in the need of a truck (diesel)3/4 ton 4 door 4x4,not new but no older than a 2003,they may need cash with it but I dont want to put any cash out of my pocket.(would consider all things tho)
So if anyone knows someone that wants to get into the Baja family please let them know.

No it was a single engine. But I dont remember any specific brand. Seemed like most 24+ footers had an MSRP of 80K+ I was looking at the boat shows. WOW!!! Did I get my frigg'n eyes opened! Now granted that 105K MSRP can probably be had for 70-75K, but still!!!
I really and truely believed that I could go get a brand new 24-26 foot Tournement Ski Boat loaded to gills with options for under 30K. HA!!! What rock did I just crawl out from under.
That is absolutely rediculous. They are wanting performance boat prices for these things. They can just go get bent. Aint no f'n ski boat worth that!
True if you go older there are some out there. But I wanted new. I did go back and look at used. But even a few years old, they prices are out of control.
Here are some quick examples I found on boat trader.
21 foot Ski Pro 58K (http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail.html?/ad-cache/6/5/0/86076950.htm)
24 foot Formula 81K (http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail.html?/ad-cache/6/1/3/86518013.htm)
23 footer here for 68K (http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/7/5/87129075.htm)
Or a two year old 21 foot for 68K (http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail.html?/ad-cache/6/7/6/82593476.htm)
Or maybe a 23 foot for 70K (http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail.html?/ad-cache/6/7/9/86886279.htm)
Or an almost 3 year old 22 foot for 50K (http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/2/3/86908423.htm)
Or maybe a year old 25 foot for 73K... (http://www.boattraderonline.com/caddetail.html?/ad-cache/6/5/5/85630555.htm)
GOOD GRIEF!!! I hate to be disrespectful. But I don't know any other way to put it. These folks this circle of boats (buyers and sellers) are out of their freaking minds!!!

And they ride like chit,Cant handle anythink but flat water. My bro-in-law has a new 23' Malibu ,great for sking the kids and turning up the stereo, but when it comes to 2 footers his whole crew climbs into my boat for the smooth ride  .
But the teenagers think its the bomb
Go figure

Yes the flat bottom is no doubt very rough.
That is another reason why, if I am going have to spend that kind of money, I will take a new 26 Outlaw with an HO. Three times the boat for same money!!!JMO

I see these type of boat all the time as we live on a ski lake. What I see is young kids(23-28)have these boats and a new 4x4 raised truck and they are in such debt that they dont even own a house.I had about 4 people trying to buy one of my houses and they had no down payment, and the only way to get them in was to get rid of the boat and truck.
Go figure

If you want a ski boat that has a decent ride and doesn't cost an arm and a leg, take a look at a 192 or 202 Islander. True, it's not a competition boat and the wake is a little bigger than I'd like, but it works pretty well all things considered. As a wakeboard boat it's probably even better but we're not into that...at least not yet.

I'll make you a sweet deal on my 252,Its a great ski boat and when you need speed you have it,I'd keep it for sking but I think my teenagers would be driving it alot more than I will and I'd feel better them driving a smaller less powerful boat.
