The time has come and I know what you are all going to say, but I want to share with you what is happening, so grab a smoke and read on.

TBM has obviously become the Number #1 resource for Baja owners to share their thoughts, make new boating friends and gain as much info as they can on their specific brand boat.

I know I have said in the past NO ADVERTISING, but now with the advertisers flocking to get in on this great site, how can I refuse. However I have carefully selected who will advertise and where. As you can see the advertisers or as I like to call them, TBM sponsors have been given thier own forums to moderate (and this is also a condition of advertising) and work with our members in achieving the best resources for each specific forum as well as offering great deals and pricing only available by being a TBM member. Anotherwords if you, the TBM member will not directly benefit from our sponsors then they wouldnt be here. On top of that they are exclusive to each forum, by that I mean that you wont see more than one advertiser per forum. This way we all can have our own personal relationship with one shop, business or supplier. No need for competition if we are comfortable with one person and the trust has been gained, (as proven with Darin at Houston Propeller as he started this all off as our first sponsor) I feel that there will be no where else to look for our aftermarket needs.

Call me silly or call me dead on, but this advertising / sponsor philosophy is what the TBM website is all about...Our Lifestyle, which I consider our little corner in the boating world and anyone that wishes to help us has my blessing.

I can promise you this as I always have, I will never charge for MEMBERSHIP to enter this site or to view photos. By supporting our newly found sponsors, you will probably get a better deal with them plus the support and knowledge behind their services as you will also have TBM and the board jury as your vouch for these sponsors. Win, Win situation for everyone.

I hope you all are as excited as I am seeing as we all now have someone we can personally rely on when it comes to our boating product needs.

Blake, whatever it takes, go for it!

It's great seeing TBM/BBOA growing so much in popularity.

All the growth has to be supported financially. And all of the posts have to be moderated. Of course you can't afford to keep this site up and running with money from your own pocket! And you can't be here 24/7 to watch over us!

Keep up the great work buddy! You have my full support!

:thumbsup

Blake,
I actually find their ads or banners (or whatever you call them) very tasteful and handy. I've jumped to them in the past and will in the future. I believe you are spot on with your philosophy; if it's good for the membership, they will be here.

Keep up the excellent work.:tiphat

I agree with the above sentiments as well. This place takes alot of time and energy to run and keep it running. I dont run a website so i cannot say what the expensise are either (nor do i care to know). But whatever they are they need to be covered and I think the sponsor / advertisements are a great way to go.

We all enjoy this site and whatever it takes to keep it going is OK by me! :cheers

Guys,
My reply to you all is "its not always about the money" however there is a saying "you scratch my back, I scratch yours" To sum this all up, I do this website partly for myself, but mostly for you the members. In this world of expensive toys, we must all as one, seek out a better deal than the next guy. And I am trying to give this to our community by adding sponsors. This endevor of mine that started 3 years ago WILL NOT make me rich, trust me on that one. (are you guys aware how many TBM shirts need to be sold to make just $500.00) All I can say is now maybe I am being paid for my time. Enjoy and support our sponsors.

Hey Blake,

I see that the advertisements are now on the LH side of the page. IMO its such a distraction to the center area. Is there anyway possible to change it to across the top agian.....even if its on every page at the top would be better than the side.

I dont want to bitch.......but its driving me nuts!!

Good call Blake. Like I have told you, it is the way to go. I think it makes the site look even MORE professional. Thanks for everything!
