If 642 doesn't take it...I will...sounds like a lot of prop for a Hammer Matt.

If anyone is still looking for this prop AFTER Wayne sells his, I have one that I'd sell. No deal until he posts up that his is sold though.

I'm hoping it will be perfect for the Hammer... I'm turning 4900 with a 23p M+ right now.... which is too much for my cast motor. The 25 should put me right at 4700, and then of course I'll let Brett work his magic after I get some numbers for him.

I have a need... a need for speed! :24:

The check will be in the mail as soon as I get off work. Consider it sold.

Thanks again Wayne!!!

I'm probably going to be coming home with an H2X on Saturday. If you are looking to sell your labbed 23, give me a call Matt.

And by the way... if anyone is looking for a stock 23p M+... I'm gonna sell the one that came with the Hammer. I'm going to keep my labbed 23p for an extra.

I need to look at it closer before I throw a price out... I didn't pay much attention to it when I swapped it for my labbed wheel.

I'll let you try it... but I think I want to keep it for now.

+1... Sarah and I are both excited for them!! Sounds like we might be on the river Sunday! :beach:

That will work. The H2X has a 23 + on it, and if I like yours, I can just lab mine.

FWIW That 25 is HARD to turn. It's a huge jump from the 23. I think I remember Brett telling me about the difference in the23M+ vs 25M+. Something about the characteristics changing the performance more than just bumping up 2*.

Let us know how she does, I'm anxious to hear.

Will do! If its too much, I'll resell it. But I think it might be what the doctor ordered after some lab work... and maybe some headers (still trying to decide on those).

Get them. We will order at the same time to split the shipping!

I'm still doing some reading on the different brands... and still trying to talk Sarah into them... :24:

Its a winter time project for sure!

After running both I can attest to that. Its close to a 500rpm difference between the 2 on my sled. The 25p isn't nearly as prone to blowing out and, in the midrange, ran with much lower slip #'s. Really good cruise performance so I think Matt will see an increase in range if nothing else. They look the same, but they sure don't feel the same. I liked it on my boat, but don't have the cojones to turn it unless I'm running very light. Even then about 4700 was max on the tach.

Mike, call me if you still want it.

An increase in range would be nice... this Hammer drinks the gas compared to the little 6 banger I had in the Islander. I'm hoping it doesn't drop 500 rpm on the Hammer, but 300 rpm wouldn't be bad... but I've got faith that Brett can do some mods with it and create the perfect prop for me.

With the labbed 23 I can spin 4900 rpm's... with the stock 23 M+ I can turn 5000 rpm (maybe more, but I got scared and backed out of it). I'm thinking I need to keep the rpm's down to 4500-4700 if I want to keep it reliable.

I'll never know if I don't try. I'll post the results since we have so many Hammer owners with the same power.

Brett will make it work. Might be the ticket for your ride; the 7.4 has plenty of torque to turn a big prop in a light boat.

It does make some torque... I just wish I could rev the shit out of it like a mag motor!

Brett mentioned to me that a Rev4 or a 25PM+ might be the ticket for me as well. I don't typically run it WOT, but certainly like to cruise in the 40MPH range for long distances. I would like to get somewhere in 60MPH range when I want, so we'll see what this 25 will do for me.

Ain't nothing like a good sounding boat and I'm happy with the way mine "womp womps" at idle and thunders when getting on plane...so get them headers in over the winter. There was a definite difference in my 275 and that other fella's boat that ran with us down to Golconda. Throw a few more meals on the grill for Sarah and she'll be fine.

I'll PM ya Ray.

Your boat sounds nasty! Which headers are you running? The other 275 was really quiet compared to yours.

Sarah loves it when I cook... but I don't want to spoil her... :24:

I wasn't happy with the 60mph WOT with my 23+ hitting rev limiter, so I bought a new 25+ got 62mph with 45-4600 rpm big rpm change took 25+ to a local prop shop he tweaked it for a 300 rpm gain to 47-4800rpm range for 63mph but a stronger mid-range all GPS I like the way it handles but I too do not have the cojones to do it right, with a 502 mag mpi, still not satisfied I was told my old 23+ has been messed with so much before I got it and I should try a new 23+ to compare results but I guess now it will be spring before I get to continue my testing.
