the 40' outlaw brochure boat just got delivered to me todatyat loto. I cant believe how awesome the graphics and the boat is, not a scratch on it, and the motors have all braided hoses, mirrors, and the stereo you can hear for 2 miles. those 575sc's sound bad ass.the 40 just looks so fast in the water. boat has every custom finish you could imagine, boat weighed 8800 lbs when they checked it, though they weighed more. going to repower next year. wanting to run 110-115mph, which after market engine does everyone like . looked at teagues and sterling.

Man, I love that 40!
The 40 is a nice boat. I dont want to brag, but I own a 1986 Force 220. Someday Jim, with a little hard work you'll have a nice boat like mine! :biggrin

Used to be that Keith Eickert built an awesome motor. Problem is, Keith Eckert isn't involved in Keith Eickert Performance Products any longer. I've heard that Sterling took over the assembly of KE engines, but I have not been able to confirm that.
There are many others out there, but Sterling is clearly the motor of choice.

VERY Nice boat....you too TEAMBAJA! ;)
Since you mentioned repowering.....can you order a boat from Baja without power? A buddy of mine did it w/ checkmate in '88-'89 and used his own engines...was wondering if Baja does it...

Apparently, Baja can be persuaded to do that. There was an article a while back in one of the boat mags about a Hammer that was order from the factory with a "blank" stern. The guy put a V8 300hp Evinrude on it.

That must be the Hammer that was listed for sale on BTO a year or two ago. Was listed for sale for what seemed like forever. Guess nobody wanted an outboard Hammer.
