23 outlaw

I know a while back there was some talk about a new 23 outlaw. Anyone have the inside scoop on this?

Don't know about "inside scoop" but, my dealer was telling me about this a few months ago. From what he said when he got back from the dealer conference, it will be based on the design of the 20 and 30 outlaw deck. Size will be similar to current 232 although with a shallower cockpit like the H2X. Engine choices should be similar to the 232. When I asked him about pricing, he said that he was not for sure but should be around what a current 232 goes for. This may be the boat that I upgrade to depending on the pricing and overall design. I just got my 20 back in September but I figure in about 2-3 years I will be able to move up financially. I was thinking either 232, or H2X but I like the edgy look of the Outlaw. He said debut around late 2004 or 2005. I guess we will just have to wait:trampoline

David AKA "MR BAJA" is the one with the answer to your question. He mentioned it to me once, and another salesman at the Houston show mentioned it as well. No clues though.

When I called Extreme about a swim platform for our 25 OL they said they were working on a platform for the 20 and the 23 OL.

It will be interesting to see what they so with this. I wonder if they will try to make a rough water lake/offshore boat with a 23-24 degree bottom. Or a try to make a fast outlaw and with a 21 or so. I could see the appeal of both. A fast lake hot rod with the great classic lines of the outlaws. Or possibly a more economical way for people to get into an offshore boat. Should be interesting. I have to believe that if they can keep the price reasonable they will sell a ton of them.

I think the shallow cockpit (a la HxX) ruins the whole thing. Outlaws have historically been high freeboard, heavy, wave-killing boats. A 23 OL w/o stand-up bolsters just wouldn't be right. The 20 OL is a different story.

Thanks Keith and Joyce, it was a pleasure to finally meet ya'll at the show....I have been working for so long now I have almost forgotten what day it is...can't wait to have a day off tomorrow...first in about 15 days or so :( how's the casa boat doing???..you know...I still have that 30 OL with your name on it....O.K. everybody...who wants to be the first to own the new 30 on Lake Conroe.....will it be Chris....will it be Keith and Joyce or will it be.....????

I will tell everyone this little bit of info....there are only two in Texas, one of which I have on my showroom floor....if you ordered one right now....you "may" see it by June....
