I'm struggling through another New England winter, I lived in Orlando for about 2 years while I went to school at the Marine Mechanics Institute. Other than not owning a boat it was the best place I have ever lived. We plan on moving back in the future.

I'm looking to get an idea of good places to take my 275. The east or west coast are not far rides and we are looking forward to the Ocean and intercoastal waterways. I have been on the butler chain but that is about it. What is the St. Johns river like, seed limits No wake Zones? Any other good sized bodies of water for boaters like us near Orlando?

Central Florida is not a good place for a 275. It's not really a good place for my 232 even. The ONLY advantage is that you can to to the east or west coast if you want to make the drive.

The St. John's is nice, but is heavily populated with slow zones, idle zones, restrictions, etc. It's a beautiful waterway to explore, but that's about it.

The East coast is nice, has big water and plenty of intercoastal. It's kind of boring though until you get down to Lauderdale and Miami.

Then there's Tampa Bay, about an hour and a half from Orlando. Great Water, lots of waterways, etc. My personal favorite!!! :thumbsup

Take your pic, there's great boating everywhere!

The west coast seems to be the place to go!
