Why do people back out of deals after they are the one that brought the deal on? I have had numerous people call about my boat for sale and I have told them that ihave a deal worked out and it is sold. Then when the money is suppose to be wired in, doesn't even bother to call or let me know that the deal is not going to happen. I believe in Karma and I have told people that it is sold.. I could have sold the boat out from underneath the buyer twice, but beleived that I should honor the deal we previously worked up. I beleive that now it's going to first buyer that will show me the money.. I'm done with this rant.. Thanks for listening.

I agree! I had 4 or 5 people that wanted to buy my Islander, I simply sold it to the first person that had the cash in hand.

Whenever you are selling something unless there is a deposit put down, it is still For Sale!

X 2 ...It may seem like it's not right but when it comes down to it a serious buyer will give a deposit and I agree, until there is a deposit (non refundable, that makes the buyer more serious) it is still for sale! first come , first served !

X 3. A tire kicker will balk, but a serious buyer won't have any problem putting up a deposit, earnest money....whatever you want to call it.

At least your getting traffic on your boat. I can't even get a nibble. They price is what's selling boats. I keep wondering if I'm priced to high ? Currently at 41,950....Someone just make me a decent offer.

man that sucks. I always sell stuff as the first to come with the cash. I dont take deposits as it is for sale to the first guy that shows up with all the money. I sold my cobra the guy was begging me to take a deposit and told him no, i will hold it for an hour on a handshake after that if the guy coming this evening has the money it is his. guy was at my house 8am the next morning with the money.

Yup, bird in the hand is better than two in the bush!
hmm, not sure if that is valid here, but you know what I mean.
I had the same with the engine last year, some local azz wanted me to hang on to it for him, he begged me to until he could get the money.
Then calls a few weeks later and tries to renegotiate the price, then walked...
Since then I've been very stern with selling things, no cash, no nothin!
