I have a friend looking for a 272. He wanted to stay under $25K so is going to be in the 1995-2000 year range. Also the part that will make it a bit more challenging is he has a trade in which limits his looking to strictly dealers unless a 272 is priced in the very low teens. He has just started his look and has covered the basics like boat trader but was curious if anyone has seen or heard of one locally to chime in.

+1 on Indywhsle's boat. Mike is in the northern suburbs of Indianapolis (Fishers) so that's only about a 4 hour drive from the motor city, right? Would be worth looking at, although he'd need to sell his current boat.....might have to do that anyway depending on the dealer.

I am a dealer and will consider any trade. Let me know what the trade is and we can work something out.

Nothing really stands out yet except for this one. He likes the color for some reason. Anything good or bad stand out with this one?

+1 on the price, especially considering this is a really "plain" boat with a 7.4. :noidea:

I had passed along your info to him and he likes the boat but thinks the engine would be a bit more maintence than he is willing to do.....plus he still has his old boat he needs to flip. If it had stock power, I think he would be much more interested in it.

Contact this guy about his 272. I have pics and it is a nice boat. From emailing him several times, I think he will be flexable in his price. If I remember right, he was asking 23k, but I would bet he will get off that pretty serious foro someone with cash in their hand.

According to NADA...Nada Boats...( http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-24-38-5697-0-0-0&l=1&w=24&p=38&f=5698&m=0127&d=1600015741&y=1995&ml=B&gc=MR>c=MR ) this is what the boat is worth...without a trailer. I was going to offer 20K for the boat with the trailer. Brandon is suppose to send me pics of the motor, but hasnt so far. If he does, I will post them or send them to you if you want. He seems like a nice guy and I was ready to offer and make the buy, but he didnt respond fast enough for me on the additional pics and this other boat (93 Baja 290) came on the scene and I made an offer and he accepted it. I do not remember what he said that the hours on this 272 are, but I dont think it was an excessive amount. It was on E-bay several months ago and didnt sell, but he was asking something like 23.5K or 24K...way too high.
If you are interested in a 95 Baja 290...go here... Phillip Hoover at Granpappy Yatch sales...fax 903-465-2031 on Lake Texoma. I dont have his regular phone number. I offered 19K for his 290 and they said ok. Its a nice boat with a triple axle trailer and 454 mags...( http://www.boattrader.com/listing/1995-baja-290-96371503/?zmc=cfem1 (http://www.boattrader.com/listing/1995-baja-290-96371503/?zmc=cfem1) )
Here is a 93 Baja 290 that I found and it also looks good. I have several pics of it if you would like them. Email me at motorsbyshooter@charter.net (motorsbyshooter@charter.net) and I will send them to you or anyone interested. I have talked to the guy several times about this boat and it is priced right. I would guess that it could be had for 14.5K to 15.5K...( johnmarjanen@yahoo.com (johnmarjanen@yahoo.com) ) and ( http://www.oodle.com/view/1657858137 (http://www.oodle.com/view/1657858137) ).

all those are boats i would be interested in. However, at those prices I would have to get my boat sold first but would then would be in my price range. If you want to send pics my email is Yamahahead@msn.com Also, if anyone here would be interested in a short term owner finance with a large portion down I would do that also. Thanks

I dont know what he would take, but I know that he wants to move it. I know it has been for sale for at least 5 months at the price he has on it and several months prior to his price reduction. Actually, it is a 1991 and not a 1990. I am guessing that he would entertain 11.5 K for it. I will send you the other email that he sent me.
