Well after many years I made a career change. Got the wheel bearings packed, bought new tires, loaded up the boat and made the drive from Scarborough, Maine. to Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed the 2,500 mile drive in 3 days.
I am going to miss the Lake Winni poker run and looking at having Zigouras refresh my engine.
On the good side my new house has a garage that is big enough to keep the boat in. This means polishing and upgrades during the winter.:lol
Hope to hook up with some Western members at Lake Mead, Havasu or Lake Powell this summer.

We go to Lake Powell every year the week after Labor day, the water is still around 80, and everybody went home because school started.:dancingjalepeno Hope to see you there someday.

A humble welcome to the world of western-lakes boating. We regularly boat in Lakes Mohave and Havasu, and will be going there almost monthly beginning in March. Lakes Meade and Powell are still suffering severely from low-water levels, but still are beautiful. Please stay in touch (DonziOutlaw@wmconnect.com) and we'll try to steer (pun intended) you in the right direction.

We are orginally from Utah and were transferred to Maine about 7 years ago. My three children, one by one, moved back to Utah. The two oldest got married and now we have Grand children. When an opportunity to move back came we jumped at the chance to get back "home".
I am anxious to get back to Lake Mead. I hope there is some water left. With all of the flooding in southern Utah I think the lake must be gaining. I hear there are noise ordinances on Lake Mead so I will need to add some baffles to quiet things down a bit.
I have never been to Havasu, but I hear it is a fun place.:dancingjalepeno
