Has anyone heard of any rebates for the 23' outlaw. I know it is a new boat, so there probably won't be any, but we are hoping!! I've heard that if you buy one before April 1st there is a 2 year warranty on the motor.

There is no rebate on the 23OL according to my paperwork, best to check with your dealer. I have also heard that Merc will now be offering 2 year warrantys on all new motors.

I posted a few days ago in the archived 2004 forum that Baja finally has posted the rebates on their site. I dont know if people dont go there or if no one had any comments to add.

However the chart they put on their site says you get 3.99 or rebates "up to" 10K on Outlaws 20-40. Now granted the "up to" part covers them on rebates. You are not going to get 10K on a 20, but rather the 40.

However, in my opinion, since they made no disclaimers on the financing, I say they have to give you the 3.99 on the 23 if you qualify. If not, I think they open themselves up to false advertising. JMO

Thank you for the info, But for financing I'm just going to pay for it.

Now that is financial discipline. I don't think I could be that disciplined. I mean, if I could afford to pay cash for a 23 Outlaw which means I would be laying out 50-60K, then that means I could probably afford payments on a 40 Outlaw if I financed.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am thinking I would opt to be in debt.:spineyes

In our situation, a 23' is huge. Our lake where we live on, is 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. Any bigger boat would be overkill.

Curt,
I agree with you, get in debt. On the other side of the coin, if you finance and have a savvy accountant, you can write off the interest on the boat, galley or not.

Blake,

So do you have the facts on that 2 year mercury warranty incentive from the dealers yet, or is it just hear say at this point?:huh

Darrell,
I cant confirm the warranty issue but it was a rumor floating around the New York boat show. Look in the ENGINE FORUM, I am about to make a post there.
