Coming Soon, Baja Step Aboard Carpet Mats...

Gang,
I am working exclusively with a manufactuer to supply TBM with a step aboard carpet in various colors RED, BLACK, BLUE, TEAL and PURPLE that will measure 18" x 27" rectangular with the Baja script inlaid in white. The Baja logo will actually be white carpet inlaid in the colored carpet, this will not be embroidered or silk screened, this will be the high quality real deal as per TBM specs. For anyone who has a inlaid cockpit carpet with the Baja or Boss logo, then you will know what I mean when I use the term inlaid, it is of awesome quality. I anticipate pricing to be around $70.00 including shipping. I sould have a sample picture within a few days.

No Baja should be without a cool logo step aboard mat to keep the footprints off the vinyl, so lets hear it if this is something you guys want. I will start a pre-order list here so I can see what the initial order quantity will be.

Guys these are awsome. I have four in my boat. Two grey w/ black and two red w/ white. I use them to put on the bimbo pad and the rear bench seat for people to step in and out of the boat.

When not used for that, we use them in front of the bolsters to stand on when the carpet is not in the boat for a more plush feeling on your feet.

Reason I am telling you all this is that you will want more than one. Maybe not four like me, but I would advise at least two.

BTW, THEY DO NOT FLOAT!>:

If you happen to accidently leave one the bimbo pad, take off and it flys out into the water. Don't even go back. It goes to the bottom so fast it aint even funny. I personally know of at least two that are on the bottom of the LOTO.>:

Great response gang! I might have to up my inital order due to the overwhelming response. I might be able to to one-off colors if requested but I cant confirm and I want to stock the basic colors for quick shipment and to make this cost effective for everyone. I will have more info in a week as I am off to the Atlantic City Boat Show for the week.

Since these carpets are aftermarket, I dont think they will be an exact color match, but I will choose the right colors to get close. What I would do is offset the cockpit carpet color to the mat color, anotherwords I have a red cockpit cover in my boat, but I also have red and purple graphics on my boat so i am going to use either black or purple mats.

That is exactly what I did. My carpet is purple and so is my cover. My step mats are red and grey which are other colors in my graffics.

I just recieved the sample in RED and it is simply AWESOME, outstanding quality, all carpet, beautifully inlaid. I need to sort out the color swatch, so I am not ready to add this item to the MERCHANDISE section yet, but in a few days they will be ready for ordering. Are you using these if people are boarding with shoes? I can not say that I have seen people use these before. They look cool though

These are used with or without shoes, I sometimes let people board with sandals and then they take them off in the boat, these basically are rear seat and sunpad savers.

The color carpet you are seeing is actually a cherry / burgundy. Not what I am going to stock, I am doing a blood red. I am trying to match existing Baja carpets as well as paint colors. So now I am waiting on my carpet color swatches and will order my shipment very soon.

I just posted the photo so you can see the quality and the inlay.

These look great. I have a matt that I snapped on my boat slip with the boat name embroidered, but the inlaid Logo is much nicer.

I definately am in for one in red.

Cant do the TBM logo as it is too intricate, but I have permission to sell anything with the Baja logo on it, exclusively on the TBM site and no where else, unlike much of the stuff you see on ebay.

I am real close on the pricing and I will announce the exact price shortly, I just need to keep these within reach to you guys, the TBM customers. Preliminary pricing is set for $74.99 including shipping via USPS PARCEL, I am seeing if I can work the number lower depending on my first bulk order.

I will have the info posted once I get the color samples in so we can start the ordering process in the MERCHANDISE section. Middle of next week, definately by March 1st.

This stuff takes time to get it exactly right. I want zero surprises from my supplier when ordering in bulk.
