I might of missed Gary mentioning this on TBM or maybe he didn't, but Gary had some heart trouble back in November. Through his pm's from him he said he was back on his feet and through his own words, "no more red meat". I just received another pm from him and he said he is down again, with his heart. I want to say, i have never meet Hp500, but i feel like he is a friend of mine. He has offered his house to Joyce and I to stay in and rides in his Baja, if we ever come up. One day i'm gonna take you up on that offer Gary. Get well Buddy, and we're thinking about ya. Please keep us informed on TBM. We all want to know how your doing.
Your friend,
Keith

Keith, well said. I have had the honor of meeting both Gary and his wife Joan. They came down to Knoxville last summer with their daughter and her boyfriend to join us in our local Poker Run. They are great people and as most here know, Gary is not afraid to give advise or a helping hand when we need him. I also got a message from him as well, and I hope he is ok. Gary if you read this, you will be in Ali and my prayers.

Wow, I had no idea! I was wondering why he hasn't been posting much on here.
Gary sent me a touchup kit for my gelcoat last year. And some nice gloves for handling my prop without getting cut.
Thanks again Gary for the generosity! I hope to meet you and Joan sometime at a poker run or similar.
Get well Gary! Keep us posted from time to time.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Gary will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. He sent me many greetings and even sent a large envelope of valuable information to my home when I was shopping for an exhaust. He is very kind and also has volunteered his home to me.
God Bless.

Wow, that is terrible.
I have never met Gary(we live only a couple of hours from each other) but have enjoyed talking with him on this board.
Get well soon Gary, so we can hook up on Pakota or Kentucky Lake. I heard the KY poker run is July 9th.

Hey Tom (82C3). For those that don't know, Tom and Tracy were forced to sell their Baja last summer due to sudden health issues that affected Tracy. As in Gary's case, i've never met Tom either, but through this site i have gotten to know Tom and consider him a friend. His numerous posts on detailing boats has helped me and i know alot of others. This sites not the same without Tom and Gary. They both know boats. One day, after only confering with Tom a few times on TBM, a package arrived in the mail. It was a tshirt from Tom.
Tom, thanks for your generosity and what you have done for TBM. You and Gary are 2 in a million. Please keep us updated on Tracy's health when you are able. We're all thinking about ya.
Just remember everyone, It can happen to anyone of us. Take care and say a little prayer for Gary and his family and Tom and his family.

I think the friendship on here is unreal. You will never meet 90% of these people. My wife says I talk more about people on the TBM then I do about my friends around town. I said "yes" TBM members are a lot smarter.
I also enjoyed Tom comments on detailing!! :tiphat

life is short, enjoy it to the max -----------------------You are so right. In my life I have lost friends and loved ones. Some to war, some to health, and others to accidents. I have seen people work themselves to the bone so they can have a super comfortable life later on. I decided a long time ago that I would do what I could to make sure Ali and I are comfortable later, but that I would make sure I did not work my life away. I left the car buisness almost 4 years ago where I was making in the area of 6 figures (best I could do for not having an education) for a pay cut and a job working 40 hours a week instead of 80. That was the best thing I ever did. I hope you are able to take the time to enjoy yourself Gary. You and Joan are always welcome for a visit to East Tennessee. I look forward to seeing you two again soon.
