I've been looking long and hard for a 04 (obviously) or newer 30 Outlaw. I came real close to making a deal on both the below boats, but each had certain things that kept me away.
Please let me know if you or anyone you know is thinking of selling in the near future. Thanks!

The 04's had some liner issues, several of the boats went back to the factory. I'd make sure you look the cuddy floor over and make sure you don't see any cracks in it. I don't think they are fixing them any more.
What was wrong with the one in Nixa, that's a nice looking boat and close to my stomping grounds.

And what was it that kept you away form these boats?

Not necessarily one thing in particular, but the first link (located in MO), with 40 hours had apparently spent its entire life, ~3 seasons, in the sun with virtually no protection. I don’t think they literally took the boat off during the winter months. The broker told me they had picked the boat up from the dock this early spring. Needless to say, the gel was quite faded on the top and port sides with some amount of dock rash. Not that the fade couldn’t be sanded out, but if I was expecting to buy a boat to sand on I wouldn’t need to visit the bank in my opinion.
The second boat in MN seems to be in great shape, but I don’t think the rear bolster seat would be very practical for my normal application. It does look cool though. Also, if you look closely in one of the pictures, are those indoor/outdoor type speakers actually mounted to the sides of the boat? Yikes. Not sure what the thought there was.
Anyway, somebody has got to be ready to pull the trigger on an upgrade? :smarty:

I dunno, but when we are talking about a $75K boat that once sold for (just a few years ago, 2004's > 2005's) $120K, some little things can be certainly overlooked. These are great deals on 30 footers with twin power, and dont know how many are really out there at in this price range. Seems very selective and I personally would pull the trigger on something so it doesnt make you crazy during the boating season if your serious about buying now, for this year. Very hard to find a 100% perfect vessel with the right colors and options, zero abuse, stored outdoors etc. JMO.

Not sure your budget, but this boat was done by Hawkeye Boat Sales and has alot of bells and whistles considering its a 2008 30OL I might consider looking at it...It'll have the higher X dimension as well as the setup and stereo system...Talked with Hawkeye about this boat and it was definately a "one of a kind"

I would bet the speakers are not permanently mounted, some sort of quick mount for use when anchored to get the tunes out the back, note the wires.

IrishTornado- Thanks for sending that link. I hope to get some more info on that 08 Outlaw and potentially find a trailer.
Blake-
I definitely hear what you are saying, and hope to find a match early in the summer to get some good use. The Midwest boating season is no doubt short enough.
I think it’s pretty depressing what has happened to the value of our prized possessions lately. I took a huge hit on my previous Baja last summer, and thought things would pick up over the winter, I couldn’t have been more wrong. My financer called to let me know they now base their maximum loan amount on the NADA published value for the boat. NADA incorrectly lists the 05 30 Outlaw as a single engine boat, and after adjusting for the 496 mag engine upgrade they list the boat with an average retail of $56,890. That’s downright disgusting. My local baja dealer sent me the ABOS book value, which correctly identifies the twin engine model and has the low book value at $59k, high book value at $65k, and retail at $80k. I don’t plan on financing anywhere close to the full purchase price, but those “values” are something to keep in mind. At the end of the day, we all know the boat is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I think both of those $79k boats are priced attractively, but at the same time I don’t know too many people that are throwing $30k+ down on a used boat right now in the current state of this economy. Especially when dealers are listing their new leftover 08’s in the low-mid 100s, definitely more affordable than ever.
Thanks for the info guys. Have a great weekend- hopefully on the water.

don't want to cut anybody's boat down(or potential boat) but that is actually a pretty stripped down 30OL has a nice drive package that ran the cost of the boat up a lot so they kept all the other options to a minium to make it a swallowable price.
but either way you will love the ride of the 30 its a beautiful boat for what it is...
