Dont have thousands to spend. 3-4k, tops
looking for an 18-21' baja
Put me in the late 80's, early 90's category at best.
Islander style or outlaw style, whatever. Not picky
Dont care if it needs deep cosmetic work.
Located in New England, NH hopefully.
Assuming that a maintained baja will be fine from this age group?

Suggestions?

Thanks!
Jason

Welcome Jason,
Do some research you dont want a boat your constantly fixing because its constantly breaking down (stranded on the water sux). I know personally. Cosmetic work is fine, just be careful for the water logged ones. I wish you lots of luck on your hunt.:wavetowel :wavetowel :wavetowel

3-4 k is going to be tough and if thats the budget you have to work with maybe boating isnt your sport.........

problem is usually a good drivetrain is worth that much and the boat itself will be a POS. not a good plan to get you into boating and any roadworthy trailer is a thou on its own

maybe a older 80s outboard boat but bigblock setup, probably not.

good luck in your search and be very carefull in your purchase, SURVEY!

Jason,
I am all the way in IL but I have what you are looking for. its a 1988 sunsport. just under 400 honest hours. all original shining gel without any buffing. very nice interior, fresh full cover. this unit is tight, I picked it up and never intended to let it go. I just had the trailer completely redone. complete disassemble, sandblast, prof. paint all fresh lights wires wheels tires. you wont find a nicer baja in your price range. I have factory merc manuals to go with it too so you can do all the work yourself. I have already done bellows, shift cable, gimble bearing, carb rebuild, points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs etc... I am fanatical about maintenance on the water. here is a link to pictures:

lets make a deal, I will even help with part of the delivery.
