Founded by a disgruntled owner back in 1998 (well before TBM was founded) and it was founded as a dedicated Baja Bashing forum. He won a law suit against Baja regarding his ability to use his current domain name. Baja said he couldn’t use “bajaboats.com” Court said he could. I doubt Baja would have had an issue if it weren’t for the fact that he was a basher.

I still go there from time to time. It is not all bashing anymore. Plus since it is not that active, it is easy to keep up with. I thougth maybe the guy just gave up on it. But he did not. It is still moderated. How do I know? Well about everytime I go there I put a plug on there for this site. When I go back, it is gone.:x

Alan, its funny you should mention that site. I just found that yesterday. He needs to just sell the domain and get on with his life. I guess the longer you hold out the more money you can get for it.

Years ago I used to post on there and argue with the guy (Steve Wheeler). He calls himself the "Dockmaster". I used to call him "Cockmaster"

I remember running across that site when I was looking for info to help me make up my mind on what type of boat to buy. Thank god I found this site or I may never have even driven a Baja. At that time that site was so negative that it was almost a joke.

I too have gone to that site. But when I found out about TBM I quit going their. Blake started what I think is the best site for Baja owners and their boats. So why go any place else. You know what they say ( if it's not broke don't fix it )

I had seen it before i purchased my baja, but not much real info there. I was just reading replys to the fountain guys bashing of baja's hulls. I guess if he posted that crap here there would be a hell of lot more pissed off people replying.:biggrin I have seen that email before jeffpowertroke@msn.com

When I started up this site, I knew nothing about bajaboats.com, however I recieved a lengthy email form Mr. Wheeler about what I should and shouldnt be doing with my site so Baja doesnt come after me. We exchanged emails for a short period of time and told him basically I wasnt concerned with what he had to say as I wasnt a Baja bashing website like yourself and that I have nothing to worry about. What strikes me as odd, is that people actually still post stuff on the site, and they only really have a classified section.
