I miss the beautiful brown waters of the mississippi...
off to the right of the boat in this picture is a little ripple in the water from the infamous wing dikes,,,taker of more outdrives than age alone....

That's the one and only Baja 420 with tripple 800SCs. It's the only one with the stepped hull. Baja made it in 1997 I believe. I have a huge poster of it at home.
It was the Baja pace boat a few years ago. It eventually started to show wear and tear and recently went through a nice restoration. There was a write-up about it in one of the Baja magazines a few issues ago. I'll have to dig up more info when I get back home.

I found this on boattrader.com
It had triple 800SCs originally. Now it has new 572s!

Hawkeye's web page is sweeeeeet!!!! That 420 I saw running in Key West during the APBA races and with the triple 800's she ran. In one of the Baja Mag's I read the boat was completely redone. The pictures do not do the boat justice, you need to see it in person and WOW!!!

I was lucky enough to get a chance to see how she (http://www.teambajamarine.com/Coppermine/displayimage.php?album=random&cat=2&pos=-96) ran when it came to the LOTO for a weekend.
Even my wife, Katie (http://www.teambajamarine.com/Coppermine/displayimage.php?album=6&pos=9) got a on board for a 100mph ride.;)
When we took it out she had the 800SC's (http://www.teambajamarine.com/Coppermine/displayimage.php?album=23&pos=2) in her. But they were plenty strong:eek
I see they are asking a little high. I know for a fact the Baja sold it cheaper than that several years ago. Even with new power, I cannot imagine it would make it hold its value that well. JMO.

That boat used to sit on a hoist in a cove at the 2 mm of the Big Niangua, about two docks from the main channel...
I was looking at his dock because it has the metal arms on pins (whatever their called) instead of cables attaching the dock to shore...I like that setup for rough water.
