This was our Halowwen parade project from Haloween '07. This started life as a 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle that we bought wrecked,My faher and I built the whole thing together, we installed an actual 350 Chevy dummy block, headers, fake Hilborn fuel injection, I installed a generator with smoke machines hooked into the headers so that I could rev the engine and make the headers smoke, we hooked up an electric fan motor to the fan on a reostat so we could slow it down, a 1937 forn radiator with skull cap, real casket handles, my Chevy rear wheels off my street rod, laterns on teh front and side that light up....We just had a blast. We bought Herman and Granpa masks and oufis, my wife as Lilly, our son as Eddie, and or puppy as Spot. Halloween parades are big in this area, we ended up taking 4 1st places, and one fifth place. We do this for fun, we take our winnings and buy candy to throw for the kids....sad part is after the parades, we rip it apart and take i to the scrap yard. in '06 we did the Adams family, same deal, it was just a riot...Now thinking for '08 season, I'm taking suggestions!!

Yeah guys, we thought about that last year, what we couldnt figure out is how to make a miniture version of the mystery machine that people could see us inside, we thought about making one with lower sides and no roof but didnt think that would look right. I do agree that Scooby and the Mystery machine would be cool and the kids would love it. I acyually thought about the Beverly Hillbillies, I know no one has done that....But boy, a lot of details in there truck.

You should have time to think about it on your way to work.

Sweet projects keep us posted.

Pretty cool thought..dint think of that. Gotta try and keep the detailed striping somehow though. Every year I always think I'll do a quicky, I end up spending so much time paying attention to the detail that I always go way over budget with money and time...but it lets us act like kids again so its worth it!

May be even more work than the scooby machine but this year the obvious choice would be the bat mobile
