OK MY FELLOW BAJA SPEED FREAKS I NEED ADVICE AND ASKING MY DEALER IS NOT WORKING.:beathead

IT HAS COME THAT TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I MUST SAY GOODBYE TO MY OUTLAW 20 AND MOVE ON TO A BIGGER BOAT-- I LIKE THE 30 BUT MY CHECK BOOK DOES NOT-LOL

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE OUTLAW 25 AND H2X BUT NOT REALLY SURE WHICH ONE TO GO WITH. IF ANY OWNERS WITH THESE BOATS COULD GIVE ME SOME PROS AND CONS ON THERE BOATS IT WOULD HELP. THANKS FOR THE HELP.:smokin

For starters, what kind of water do you mainly boat on?

If you frequent rough conditions, lots of chop, boat wakes, whitecaps, etc. and rarely smooth water, go for the 25. It has a 23 degree deep V and will give you a nice rough water ride. Also if you can use a larve V-berth the 25 is nice.

If you boat mainly on smooth water like small lakes, where it's less than 1' chop, the H2X will be a good boat. If you only need the V berth for storing floatation devices, rope, etc that will be fine.

Have you had a chance to climb aboard one of each and get a close look?

i had a 25 and loved it, rode in a h2x and hated it the 25 is a 24 deadrise and rides really smooth the H2x is a 21 deadrise the 25 has a larger opening for the door going to the v-berth the 25 is heavier so the hsx will be faster with the same power my 2 cents would be the 25 good luck

I've owned both. I lean towards the 25 O/L. takes rougher conditions very good. Solid ride. Not as fast as the H2X.
I also like the bolster seats on the O/L. More cuddy room in the O/L. A little larger cockpit in the H2X.
I didn't think the H2X rode THAT bad. Not nearly as bad as a Bandit I used to own.

I've owed both also, I would have to take the Outlaw over the H2x. The ride is much better in the Outlaw and the extra room in the cuddy is nice also.

I've got a 25 Outlaw also. While I've not been on an H2x I would have to believe the OL would be a better ride. Especially if you are considering the Ocean or Gulf in the future.

Which area of Florida are you looking at? I'm in Jacksonville:tiphat Need to get some more Baja owners here!

Have owned a 25 OL...."ditto" to everyone else....25 is the way to go.....for all of those reasons and especially....

********RESALE*********

But it also depends on your budget....there can be about $25K difference between the two boats.....
