Did they go from a fuel injection to a carb set-up when they turbo'd the motor? I'd really like some details on that set-up. You don't see too many turbos on boats because of the heat and you have to run a dry exhaust system.

No, it is fuel injected.

I am not sure of the power numbers but speed was in the 70's on GPS. The boat has more but from what Scott tells me the current motor is set up to live. You could turn up the boost and go crazy but it is a 22 footer.

I read the add and it is pretty much right on. The boat sounds sick as hell with the turbos and the dry exhaust. The acceleration is insane.

It hung with us Bajas pretty well at last year's run until the water got rough. The Sting Rays don't have much deadrise.

We had one a while back in on trade at MMax that had a 350 MAG in it...ran very well...very surprising... There was a dealer over in Conroe that sold them new...not sure if he is still there or not....

Either way...bet it is sick listning to the turbos and dry exhaust sing...very cool!

I had a 22LX with a 280 horse Volvo 350 and it ran 60+ all day. Stingrays are surprisingly fast. Not the best for rough water though. We got tossed pretty good on Conroe, on busy afternoons.
