Since we have not been able to find a weather person that can predict weather in East Tennessee, we just stick our head out the door and guess. We are supposed to have scattered showers all weekend, but they said the same thing the last two weekends and no rain at all. All I can do is hope for the best.

Okoboji will be rainy and warm..( better than cold!!) ..in the past 8 years only once have I seen a full Memorial Day weekend that was nice....but, Monday afternoon when you are packing up all of your wet camping supplies and draining the water out of everything the sun always comes out. Mother Nature is such a rag...

I'm just going down and wishing for the best. I think Saturday is going to be OK in the mid 80s

I think Matt has the right idea. I have been going to the lake most of my life and it always seems to rain at least one day on Memorial weekend...don't seem to slow us down though.

However, you can bet your ass the TBM 30 OL will be present on the water on Monday, even if it is snowing.

Here's a different perspective for you guys, though you may be getting a little wet, you will at least be able to boat. The Chain O Lakes is completley closed out due to major flooding and it will be 2 weeks at least before it is re-opened (if it ever stops raining which is not supposed to happen until Monday). And of course, i am still waiting on a part for my trailer so even if i could scrape together plans for a last min Memorial Day Vacation somewhere, i cant get the boat there anyway. All i can do is hope the part comes in before i leave for LOTO for the wilbus run in 2 weeks.

Anyway, sorry for ranting, i do sincerly wish all of you a safe and fun holiday this year and i expect everyone back on the board on tuesday with details so i can at least live vicariously thru you. Have a good holiday everyone, and Blake, hope you get to splash her this weekend, best of luck to you.

Blake, I don't blame you at all. You have got to be going crazy about now. I know you and the Mrs. will have a blast.

It's been raining a ton in MN too. Finally splashed the boat yesterday for a hour just to see if everything worked right. Check out this link. Nice Baja ford is using to show off new 05's

Well I guess my praying didn't help. I would probably blame myself for the bad weather in LOTO this coming weekend. I live in Chicago and if any of you have been following the weather out here, it has been flooding everywhere. I just doesn't stop. I was just telling everyone that i couldn't wait to go down to LOTO to enjoy the nice weather. :huh SORRY. I should have closed my month now I am raining on everyones weekend. At least I stepped up and admitted to it right. :(

We just had a hell of a storm here...the lake was about a foot high last weekend, at this rate it will be at the top of our seawall MW.

That wasn't me. There are two mnoutlaws on this board. When I set mine up I accidentally hit the space bar first. It took me about 6 months to figure it out. I probably should just change my login. I will be at the loto for the baja appreciation day in July though. Looking forward to meeting some of the members.

I'm ready to go!!! Have to work today and we will leave tonight for the six hour drive - see you all on the water tomorrow. Sounds like it's going to be crazy - Lots of coverage - E, Playboy, websites, Sister Hazel playing in the cove, etc. I'm going to take a video camera for this one! :party

Blake I'll take more water cards and pass them out to Baja owners at the lake! :rollin

I called my wife at the lake, weather is ok...just some scattered storms...we've had tornado warnings the last 2 days in St.Louis and severe storms.
