You can check out HydroHoist at www.boatlift.com. I would have to say from experience to got with a HydroHoist, a Polylift or an ozark lift. These three brands of lifts are the best, bar None. Marinas like these brands of lifts over others because they don't cause any damage to the docks. this should appeal to private dock owner as well. The most popular models of HydroHoists and Polylifts work on the same principle. The polylift is going to be more expensive, but it is very heavy duty. It is not necessary unless you dock your boat in rought conditions, or like heavy duty stuff. HydroHoist will be easier to find, and to get service on. And do very well in most docking conditions. They have the most options to choose from when picking out a lift. A neat feature both Polylift and HydroHoist offer is the back in option. the lift drops low enough in the water, you can back in your slip, making it very easy to enter and exit the boat. Poly lifts have black plastic pontoon type tanks with a galvanized steel frame, while HydrHoists Have blue plastic or fiberglass tanks and galvanized frames. Ozark lifts are a front mount type (they hook to just the front of the slip and swing up insteadof mounting to one or both sides of the slip or dock end) Ozark Lifts have a powdercoated frame and two or more square tanks. Sorry i began to ramble.................
