I work at Barnacle Bills Marina on Lake Tenkiller, and am planning on setting up a Baja club and possibly a HiPo/Sport boat club (so non Baja owners wont feel left out).
Why might I want to be doing this, you may ask? Well, growing up my family has had Baja's, and several of the boats in our marina are Baja's. I have talked to a majority of our dock tenants who own baja's and were interested. I just wanted to let others know, who might give me some feedback. I know there are several baja's on Lake Tenkiller, just not how many are members of BBOA.

You may want to look into our LOCAL CHAPTER section of the website instead of trying to create what would be possibly considered a second rate Baja club, we have done our homework here and we will gladly support your LOCAL CHAPTER if you decide to go that route. Please contact me for further info, but dont forget to check out the LOCAL CHAPTER section of the website.

See, I did look in that section and only saw the New Hampshire Chapter. I checked there before I registered. I didn't want to step on any one's toes. I appreciate your feedback. I just wanted to see a baja club on the lake. another nearby lake has a place unofficially called "Baja Beach" which i have been to several times, and thought Lake Tenkiller needed something similar, that's all.

I can tell you this, it takes an enormous amount of energy, thought and time to do a local club. We only have one LOCAL CHAPTER for these reasons, Mike Stocker who is the Coordinator for the NH Chapter has as much dedication to this brand of boat as I do and he is organizing all sorts of stuff in NH all on his own, we are here for support which we have given him as well as a place for his members to come to to get their info. He didnt have to do much in the sense of a website, logos or anything more than promoting in his area, and as you can see for the NH Chapter page, he has done a great job.
Point is, he doesnt have all the extra stuff to worry about, like I do here, which is the point I am trying to make for your situation.
