Hello people, new to this board & boating. Purchased my 99' Baja H2X last year and noticed that I have been the only one with a Baja out here in the west coast (Southern California). What-up-wit-that! Are there any Southern Cal Baja owners other than me on this site? I haven't had the pleasure of taking her out on a lake/river yet. Looking forward to this season to see how she does in fresh water. Have been taking her out in the Ocean, got to know what 4-6 foot swells feel like, got to know what superman felt like, got to know that my wife doesn't get sick while we are going fast but gets sick if we slow down:D Also, how hard can our hulls take punishments? I've gotten her airbourne consecutively on one run 5 times at a GPS speed of 48.6 mph while I was hitting the 4-6 foot swells. Lots of creaking/groaning but no visible damage... Thanks in advance for any replies.

Sorry guys for not posting replys. I have "CRS" syndrom... At least thats what my wifes says to me. I live in Laguna Hills which is in Orange County. I'm about 30 minutes north of Oceanside. Are there Baja dealers in San Diego and Northern Cal.? We have one close to where I live in Dana Point. I usually launch from Dana Pt. and cruise up to Newport Harbor to Hooters for lunch

from John Grooms. Nice guy. In fact, I did my first run from Dana Pt. Harbor to Newport Beach. I mainly use it down in San Diego though.

GW, maybe one of these days (maybe during over-the-line tornament?) I'll cruise down to mission bay and see ya there? Where do you mainly cruise in San Diego? Have you tried cruising down to Baja?

my understanding is you need to get a Mexican registration first....or they can confiscate your boat. I've been mainly playing around in Mission Bay and then up and down the coast and around Coronado and San Diego Bay. No lake use yet, but planning a trip soon I think. I figure the holiday weekends this summer will be alot of fun on Mission Bay if I stay around town.
