OK every spring I go through this.
Anyone have any good suggestion to lift the boat up off the trailer for cleaning and waxing?
I'm a little worried about jacking it up off the bunks.
Thanks

I have good clearance over the wheel fenders and I load the boat on the trailer off-center, clean where the bunks normally touch, then put it back in the water and load it on correctly.
Of course it helps to live close to a ramp, so I can slowly tow it home and work on it.
No jacking for me.:eek

I know it's kind of a pain in the butt, but if the boat isn't too large, you can lower the jack as far as it will go, raising the stern, place some large styrofoam blocks or other blocking under the back of the hull, then raise the jack as far as it will go, and put some blocks under the keel, and you can usually get a boat up a few inches over the bunks. If you put blocks under the jack, you then can work up yet higher if you are careful.
Try this at your own risk!
