Has anyone tried using a keelshield on their boat? They say it protects the keel from damage when beaching the boat. I boat mostly on the Illinois River and most of the time I have to beach the boat. On my old boat it looked like someone took sandpaper to the bottom and I don't want it too happen again. I am wondering if it will slow me down at all. If anyone has used one please let me know!
