how fast is a stock hammer?
i have a 1998 hammer with a modified 250 hp outboard (1 of a kind) and am getting close to 70 mph out of her(3 people in boat and 30 gallons of fuel) i'll squeeze a few more out of her when i get my new jackplate and prop. i'm only turning 6100rpm out of 6700! i'm looking forward to the poker run in New Hampshire in july. it will be my first run ever! thanks and Great site!!!..james

James,

SEND SOME PICS! I never saw a Hammer with an outboard. What does it weigh like that? How is the swim platform modified?

At least it's still very early in the season, you'll have time to get back to the water!
