Hey guys, I am looking for a clean used 232 islander from 96-02. I am not a big fan of hot pink, and may be willing to consider a regular 232 or 252 isl for the right price. This would be my fourth Baja, so I know the brand well. I should have never sold my 98 232 islander, we had the most fun on that boat.

Thanks,
Carl skygod73@aol.com (skygod73@aol.com)

I realize that we are on opposite coasts so mine is not an option but why are you eliminating (or not mentioning) a 242 Islander? If it's simply cuz of the age (to new / out of price range) I can understand that, but the 242 Islander is a great boat also. Ours has the small block and is pretty economical (for a boat  ) so that should help you also.

All great boats for sure, but keep the option open for 242 if one pops up.

Although not really "for sale", I have considered letting mine go since my son
(Chrisf) and I boat together regularly and having two Baja's is a bit redundant.

My baby is a 2000 Boss 232 in "mint" condition powered by a 454 Mag MPI
which was fully rebuilt as "stock" with enhanced internals in the he Spring
of '07 by Mario Latka of So-Cal Speed & Marine in Los Angeles.

The 454 has never been on a dyno, but appears to be putting out in well in
excess of 400hp. Since I run offshore in the Pacific, my prop of choice is a
stock 24p Bravo/1 which peaks at about 65gps at 4900rpm. On quiet waters,
Chrisf's 25p labbed Mirage/Plus should push the rocket into the 70mph range
as NordyRacer demonstrated on his 23OL in Long Beach harbor

I would sell her, but since I have a great deal of time and money invested in
my rocket, it would not be considered a bargain, but a great looking
and quick little Baja for the money.

232 Islanders seem hard to find this year for some reason. I've seen better deals on the 25' Islanders and more of them. The prices are going to keep dropping with the season winding down so I'd just wait for the "right one"
Keep looking and you'll find it sooner or later.
