Seals spotted in Lake Winnipesaukee!

Were any of the NH crowd around the Weirs channel around 4:00 today (Sunday) and see the three Navy Seals parachute into the water in front of the Naswa? Maybe the Laconia PD have called in reinforcements for Bike Week!

Very cool site...a blackhawk dropped three guys from about (guessing here) 3000 ft. and they crusied right into the water in front of the patio beach bar. A boat with about 4 - 5 guys in camo and black marked the area with a red smoke can and those guys landed right next to them wearing full scuba gear. Didn't see any heavy hardware...(M16's) but the chopper kept circling while they floated in. Air support, I guess, in case the Naswa drunks decided to repel the invasion. Wish I had my camera. The water cops had the LZ blocked off so boats couldn't get that close. I was about 100 yds. from the first guy that splashed.

Well it is the begining of bike week up there........gotta set the reinforcemets early!! LOL

But navy seals? Maybe a training exercise? I may be up there this week if i can break away from work, just for a day though. Some friends are going up and i may ride along with them to see the sights of Bike week. No boat up there this week for me...........But i will stop in at Channel to see whats new there.

Another funny.........when you said seals.............I was thinking "how the hell did seals get in lake Winnipesaukee"? But its Navy Seals!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should have been air-dropping TEAM BAJA MARINE WATER TEAM CARDS, thats what they were contracted to do. Oh well I guess I should ask for a refund.

That Blackhawk was flying up and down Paugus Bay a bunch of times (yesterday and today). A couple of times, they were only a hundred feet off the tree tops. Don't now what it was all about.

they were up there doing it this weekend sat and sun just outside the weirs. dropping from the chopper and then they were picking them back up with winches and some parachutes about 4 i think. they were doing exercises. anyone up there this weekend give me a call will be up thurs night to mon morning for bick week. Blake i think i did see some cards fly out of the chopper a bunch of fountain guys got them. mike
