Well, after 30 grand hours on my new 25-Outlaw, I suffered my first problem.

I used the boat late Friday (pulled back into my marina at 11:00 pm) and all was OK. Saturday was rained out, however, I went out to use it on Sunday afternoon around 12:00 pm. When I tryed to start it, I heard the normal tone when the key was turned, heard the pumps kick in, but just heard a "pop" sound when I turned the key all the way over. (The sound was coming from the top side of the engine.) Batteries are both good, and the gear lever was in neutral. I even tapped the starter with a hammer just to make sure. So, I'm scratching my head.

Anyone experience anything similar? I will post the diagnosis as soon as I find out.

Sounds like an electrical problem, try checking the power wire from the battery to the starter for a loose connection.

I'm with Wil, clean the battery connections and see if that works. Hopefully, its that simple.

Check the master fuse on the engine. It should be a black housing with a red pop-up circuit breaker. Maybe something got wet inside and shorted out the circuit.

You guys are on the money! The marina called and said there was a loose wire to (or from) the starter. Everything is fine.

Now onto my new hollow exhaust tips from Stainless Steel Marine.....
