Baja Marine Mourns the Death of Longtime Dealer Lloyd Burns
We are very saddened to announce the death of our longest-serving Baja dealer, Lloyd Burns, of Lloyd's Inland Marine. He will be missed by all who knew him. We extend our sincerest condolences to his wife, Carol, and the rest of his family.
Baja Marine mourns the death of its longest-serving Baja dealer, Lloyd Burns of Lloyd's Inland Marine in Evansville, Ind. Burns died on Saturday after his drag boat crashed on Kentucky Lake's Pisgah Bay near Grand Rivers, Ky.
Burns has worked as Baja dealer for over 35 years, and he founded Lloyd's Inland Marine in 1981. Much beloved within the Baja community, he has been recognized many times over the years for his various achievements as a dealer, culminating most recently with his receipt of a Sales Achievement Award at the 2007 Baja Dealer Meeting held last September.
"Lloyd was an institution in the Baja community," said J.R. Jenney, Baja's director of sales. "He has worked closely with us over the years, and he treated his customers like friends. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him."
He is survived by his wife, Carol Burns. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at 10 a.m.
