Reading all about LOTO, it sounds like the place too be. I always enjoy bajaing to different establishments to stop for a cool drink. Just curious if any of you have been to Lake Norfork. We've been going there since '99. 12 hour drive from Houston but well worth it. Corp of Enginneer lake so you don't have the watering holes on the water. But it makes up in clear water and smooth running. Cliffs for jumping off. Coves for hanging out. Usually about 40 to 50 of us take over a resort. And yes, i even visited Missouri by water. I was looking for a canal to LOTO. (not there). :\ Beautiful lakes in Arkansas and Missouri. Hope to visit LOTO one day!

Beautiful lake, crystal clear water!
I went there in 85, my friends had a 28' Nova spyder w/ twin 454 mags, a 30' scarab II with built 454's. and a 29' Mach I with twin 454 mags...
We launched and just about the time we got on plane the water patrol pulled us over and said we couldn't run without mufflers....by the time they found mufflers we had time to let 1 of them go scuba diving and leave......
On the way home the guy with the 30' blew both rear tires on his truck....since he just bought it he hadn't had time to get a new tow vehicle and was pulling it with a 1/2 ton chevy at 70 w/ a 454mph...
great lake but I havent been back :rollin

Wow, I don't blame you. Well, we've never had a problem. The couple we travel with have been going there 20 years, 13 with 30' Donzi. Never a problem with patrol over noise. I sure hope it stays that way!
