We have been quoted and have told our side of the story, a little bit out of context, however I think we got our point across...

Blake,
Search warrants were issued. No arrest warrants yet. I would expect that the responsible party will make arrangements to turn themself in when charges are ultimately made. Just my hope.

Luxy,
Thanks for clarifying, my mistake. Just trying to keep the Baj community updated. There is too much to this story from what I have read, heard and been emailed. I will wait for the authoritys to release the correct information before I give any opinions.

I have no desire to drive at night at LOTO. I see them blowing down the lake and can't see how they know what is out there. I see trees and all kinds of things floating in the water.

As far as the article, I thought his story was possible till the part about

"Littlefield said one of two drives on the boat still was working, and he didn't hear the bilge pump kick on to pump out any water caused by damage, so he thought any assessment could wait until morning"

Now you know if you have a drive just "go out"after "bumping" something you going to stop and see how bad it is and what it was.

Do you know who Harley Race is? He was a Local Boxer on his way to the top when He ran over a boat and Killed some people on the LOTO in his sea ray.
I think he lost it all.
He also calmed no lights on the impounded Boat which the light switch was In the OFF position! 8o

Very interesting. By what little I can see, I think Littlefield has a serious credibility problem!

1) I agree, I'd be checking out why if one of my drives "wasn't working"!

2) You thought you hit a log, but you noted that another boat was pulling away - you saw the white water at the back.

3) You were seen at a restaurant and appeared, at the least, tired!

4) In addition to all of the above, I recall that the prosecution was obtaining the testimony of a tungsten light bulb filament expert to say if the rear light bulb was blown due to an impact!

As always, any legal case is muddy. And it may be hard to say that Littlefield is guilty of a hit-and-run by "a preponderance of the evidence" (although the prosecution may get there!) or of manslaughter "beyond a reasonable doubt" (less likely). But this guy clearly isn't comming over well. He is definitely not going to be getting off scot-free!

Sadly, he reflects badly on us all. And I agree about night driving. I avoid it for the most part where tehre is no night speed limit. Too dangerous if any other boats are running flat out.

Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the updates!
